Dr. Landon McLean ND - Naturopathic Doctor
Dr Landon McLean is a board certified naturopathic doctor. His passion is in preventative health and nutrition with a focus in digestive health and stress management.
His education started when attending the University of Waterloo Health Studies program, completing his honours bachelor of science in 2007. Over the period of earning his degree, he took many courses in health and nutrition. This allowed him to develop a solid base and passion for health promotion and clinical nutrition.
Dr Landon firmly believes in the ability of prevention and education to act as tools to improve and empower your health and wellness.
Dr Landon then began his studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2010. This 4 year program gave Dr Landon the tools to help you restore your health and prevent further issues. He completed a one year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in Toronto ON, the largest clinic in north america. During this time he saw over 300 patients with varying concerns. He also completed a 4 month internship at an HIV/AIDS clinic in Toronto ON. He worked as a TA for the 2nd and 3rd year health psych program to help improve and sharpen his counselling skills. Dr Landon completed his degree in 2014, becoming a licensed Naturopathic Doctor.
Dr Landon is licensed for Acupuncture and prescribing authority in BC.
Dr Landon is an active member of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine alumni association, Canadian Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC), British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA), and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
Dr. Arjuna Veeravagu ND - Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Arjuna Veeravagu has been a practicing naturopathic physician for 16 years. He has a general naturopathic practice with a focus on complex internal medicine cases. With each patient he seeks to uncover the underlying causes of illness or symptoms, looking for the interconnections between the digestive tract, nervous system, stress & reproductive hormones and the immune system. Some of the more common issues Dr. Veeravagu works with are low thyroid function, adrenal exhaustion, male and female hormone imbalances, small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), celiac disease, gluten sensitivity and food sensitivities, mood/sleep disorders and midlife transitions. He will order conventional and functional lab testing as needed for his patients and his main treatment modalities are clinical nutrition, nutritional supplements, botanical medicine, exercise consulting and lifestyle counselling.
Dr. Chanel Smythe MSc, R.TCMP, ND - Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Chanel Smythe was born and raised in Whistler, BC. She has been studying medicine and science for the past twelve years and is thrilled to bring her practice back to her hometown of Whistler and the mountains. Chanel has completed a Master’s of Science, a degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, and most recently a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Boucher Institute in New Westminster, BC.
Chanel completed her clinical rotations for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in China, at hospitals in both Shanghai and Chengdu. Following this she worked in rural Nepal for several months providing acupuncture and Chinese medicine to the remote and underserved community of Kogate and surrounding villages. As part of her naturopathic clinic training she completed externships at Empower Health Clinic in Vancouver, and Positive Living BC. Positive Living BC is a clinic for HIV positive and underserved populations of Vancouver BC.
Dr. Chanel has a general practice with focus on concussion and traumatic brain injury, women’s health/hormone imbalance, fatigue and burnout, digestive disturbances, autoimmune disease, nervous system regulation, pain management and sports performance.
Dr. Chanel is here to help you connect the dots with your health concerns and uncover the root cause of disease. She has obtained many tools and lenses with which to apply to your health disturbances, and will work with you to find what will best facilitate your journey to optimal health.
Treatment approaches are individually tailored and may include- diet and lifestyle modifications, acupuncture, botanical medicine (Western and Chinese approaches), nutraceuticals, injection therapies (IV, intramuscular nutrient injections and pain management injections), lab testing and pharmaceutical prescriptions.
Dr. Chanel holds certifications in Pharmaceutical Prescriptive Authority, IV therapy and Advanced Injection Therapies including neural and prolotherapy.
She has completed a variety of additional medical training’s, including a five-level series in clinical neurology via the Carrick Institute and six-level training in the Tan Lineage of Balance Method/System Acupuncture.
Dr. Chanel hold dual licenses as a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and a Naturopathic Doctor – she is licensed with both the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of British Columbia (CTCMA) and The College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC).
When not practicing medicine some of Chanel’s other passions include skiing, trail running, hiking, swimming, biking, reading, travelling, dogs, food, coffee and connecting with friends and family
